Real estate portfolio and life cycle analysis for Metrovacesa.

The Project

Develop a life cycle analysis strategy for the entire asset portfolio of the real estate developer Metrovacesa, to achieve the following objectives:

  1. Apply LCA methodology aligned with LEVEL(s) to calculate and reduce the carbon footprint.
  2. To generate a methodological and data base useful for the development of future projects.

The collaboration has involved technical teams and architectural firms nationwide.

Sustainable strategies highlighted

  • Development of a structured and replicable methodology based on three phases;
  • Database of actual results of completed projects, used as a reference for new developments;
  • Intensivecoordination with local delegations and zonal teams to ensure technical quality and consistency of results in all projects;
  • Benchmarking to detect "exemplary" projects to replicate and"room for improvement" (internal analysis) can also be used for external benchmarking and positioning.

BREEAM certification on selected assets, in addition to the internal use of VERDE certification.

Carbon footprint reduction strategies through the implementation of corrective measures.
